Biography section of a media kit for an aspiring Olympic Athelete -- (Jan 31st, 2023)

Destinee [last name] has been running since age twelve. After trying out a wide variety of sports with her father and twin brother, from tennis to soccer to even ballet, her coaches saw something special when she started doing hurdles. After realizing her natural talent, she decided to drop her other sports and put all her focus on running. Her success and dedication carried her to the track teams of both middle and high school, of which she was a member of both, but she didn’t see herself continuing through college. Running was a fun hobby for her, even after winning the state championship for the state of Georgia. It was after being granted a scholarship that Destinee saw the opportunity in running professionally.From there, Destinee transferred first to Colorado State, where she won both indoor and outdoor conferences. Afterwards she transferred, much to the dismay of her coach, to Oregon State, then finally to South Carolina. This positive attention earned both admiration and some animosity from her peers, including one not showing up to the podium after being beaten on the field. Destinee powered through the naysayers the same way any athlete does, by pushing forward and doing her best.Destinee has been training on-and-off with her current coach since her high school days, their bond growing ever-stronger over the years. Her father is her number-one fan, and the closest she would consider a mentor.
